G'day from W.A. (Western Australia).

Just come across this site in my endless search for Bill trivia and collectables.

Have been watching The Bill since the beginning, and watching the old episodes once again during the week and the post 2000 episodes on the weekends (they've just changed to one per weekend!)  on Foxtel.

Have stopped watching the current episodes because I just can't believe how bad it has got IMHO. The music drives me nutty, and I'm of the opinion that they got rid of the old production team and replaced them with 1st year students!

Have written a letter to the main production company telling them so.

So I look forward to reminiscing with other like minded people that appreciate "the good 'ol Bill".

*** Spoiler Alert ***

BTW, did anyone notice Smithy's name tag, I think it was in a more recent episode where the bomb went off and Emma Keane was blown up. For the outside camera shot his name tag had a female officers name on it. I wonder if they were just having a bit of fun?

All the best

James

Welcome from a fellow Aussie!

I'm glad to see that you have true taste (watching the old episodes), but I am now feeling much better adjusted to the new format.  I was initially unsure of it, but I feel that the production and use of music has improved dramatically - I hold high hopes for the show in 2010.

Once again, a warm welcome and I hope you enjoy the forum.

Welcome.
I too like the old episodes. I agree that the music has no merits, also the lack of a signiture tune at the beginning makes me feel as if I am watching a program that it in The BIll time but the only coincidence is that there are characters/actors I like in it.

Thanks for the welcome!

By the way, I think I got the episode wrong where Smithy has the dodgy name tag. Maybe it was a later one, closer to where the two sergeants have the punch up???

Anyone else notice it??

Sorry, mate - you're definitely sharper than I am.
